My husband and I were staying in Heraklion but made a day trip to Chania and Seitan Limania beach. SO. WORTH. IT. Few tips, 1. Yes, it really is that steep so wear the proper shoes! On our way down we saw several people turn...More

This was by far the highlight of our stay in Crete. It's truly hard to believe that a place like this even exists! The walk down to the beach from the parking area is easily manageable for an average person, but it definitely requires caution....More

You’ll drive there in 25 min from Chania. The road is rather steep. First on top you’ll find a little church and snack kiosk. Drive further down, many sharp curves. Then hope that you’ll find a plce to park your car. Take your pictures and...More

Do not follow our sat nav up the mountain with the mast on top. At the bottom of the mountain there is a sign to go right towards the beach, but our sat nav led us up the huge and pretty dangerous curving mountain, when...More

The main decision you have to make is do you have the energy, risk apetite and the adventurous spirit to take the road down the steep. If you do, your reward is a truly stunning beach.

For healthy and a bit sporty people it's not a difficult to go down to the beach, but for others might be a real challenge to get there. We went there with 2.5 years old kid and everybody was surprised as my husband was carrying...More

Seitan Limania is an hidden small paradise beach, nestled in a canyon leading out to the sea. It is not too far from Chania town, so its popularity is increasing (also among the goats 🐐) and then expect it to be pretty crowded too. This...More

This is a beautiful beach and worth the visit. But beware because this is not for the faint of heart!! Once you start going down the road, you can’t turn around until you get to the bottom. The road is steep, narrow and has no...More

Beautiful place, but the descent towards the beach is hazardous and steep. We heard a 17year old boy died because he went down too quickly. At least you need adequate shoes. You can also take beautiful pictures from above. The water is blue green white.

If you are afraid of heights, I would skip this. It’s not a cliff, but if you miss your step you could definitely tumble down. Apparently some people do it with children, I would never dare. However, it is absolutely... More

In my opinion, I would say no as it gets busy too and you feel under pressure when having to take a breather. Unless your child is a mountain goat, definitely not.
