Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were bitterly disappointed, after a long trip to visit Aphrodisias and specificslly its important museum, to find the museum closed (with no warning even on the official Turkish museum website).

As Roman Temples go this is one of the best.
There is so much to see at the temple and some wonderful statuary.
It's fair stroll to the main temple area, but it is certainly worth it

Wonderful museum filled with well-described marble statues which were found all over the ancient site of Aphrodisias just outside. Well worth a visit!

It’s worth the trip from Izmir to get here and enjoy what remains of Afrodisias. Lots of space and in May, it didn’t feel crowded. Best to come on a day with good weather of course.

Check it out if you're at the site. They moved a lot of the friezes and statues into the museum and made plaster replicas out in the archaeological site. The final room is excellent.

This small museum has some interesting items to see, but is under extremely poor management. They did not have any functioning toilets on the premises, nor in the restaurant. At the entrance there was no one present for a period of time. For a museum holding items of such importance this museum should have more personnel to watch the artifacts, and should be in better condition to service the public with functioning facilities.

You will find the best sculptures and friezes from all over the site preserved and protected in this very nice museum. Be sure to go in here and see them along with the famous Blue Horse.

Incredible museum but beware of the parking scam. A group of locals try to force you to park in the space outside the museum and take you a short distance by tractor to the museum itself. The main (empty) museum car park is blocked by cones. Really time the authorities did something about this.

The small Antiquarium of Afrodisias is modern, air conditioned and shows an impressive selection of sculptures, especially in the Sebasteion gallery. Congratulations to the managers!
