We took two Aussie visitors with us and we all agreed it was a very enjoyable couple of hours. Brick Bay suggest a 1 hr walk through the 65 odd sculptures/art works but I think you really need to allow 1.5 hrs to get the...More

The Sculpture Trail is a walk through mostly native forest (Kauri forest side-track is special!) and around lily-covered lagoons with fascinating sculptures and installations greeting the walker at every turn in the track. Four of us spent nearly 2 hours wandering around and "evaluating" each...More

Yes. This is the perfect stroll, with stuff to discover for everyone. Naturally, my favorite is the Allegri Miserere installation in the forest, but there is so much else! It's a fabulously maintained path through nature, with funny, clever, inspiring and touching pieces of art....More

After Sculptureum, this place falls flat. Lots of sculptures in the forest sounds good but the choice of objects is uninspired and just doesn't cut the mustard. A significant compensation was the Kauri Grove which is an energetic uphill diversion. Don't miss it.
