Being now 65 years young with health problems I, perhaps mistakenly, decided to try to cycle through Richmond Park. As I entered the park at Roehampton Gate my problems began immediately. A clutch of serious cyclists, younger but not young, raced rudely passed me shouting...More

I have been a visitor to Richmond Park for over 15 years. This is as a father with young children, a dog walker and a runner. However, in the last 2/3 years, and particularly in the last 18 months, the number of cyclists has ballooned,...More

Absolutely gorgeous. I love a long walk from Sheen Gate to Richmond through the park, finishing outside the Slug and Lettuce by the river.

Always love Richmond Park - beautiful large green space that feels far from London. Don’t miss the view of St Paul’s from King Henry’s Mound and the Isabella Plantation in May/June! Give the deer a wide birth though - they are wild animals!

If you have the chance to visit then grab it with both hands. Park the car, get out and walk. You will not believe nature like this survives in a major city. Herds of deer roam free.

I walked from Roehampton Gate to Pembrook Lodge in about 50 minutes - the various walking trails make it very safe from heavy traffic. Saw a dozen deer - but were warned to keep at least 50 yards from them. Lots of bikes and people...More

Walked miles here. Saw lots of deer and lots of different species of birds. Coffee shop on site with good toilet facilities. Restaurant in lodge excellent. Downside was the number of dog owners who allowed them to run free and frighten the bird life and...More

No. If you saw it you would understand why. Theyre ponds, with ducks and swans and fish and assorted wildlife, not swimming pools.
