The lake has been created by building a raised walkway between two seafront points and thus trapping in a lot of water when the tide comes in. There is a small beach next to the lake and the backdrops are the seafront and Knightstone Island....More

It's common knowledge that the sea here is very dangerous so it's nice to have a cordoned off area in the water for kids to play. It does get quite deep so needs parental supervision. What out for the slippy bridge too!

Have been coming to Marine Lake since I was a child (now 76!). My granddaughters love it and its a safe place for them to play in the water or on the sand. Near to all the amenities Weston has to offer.

With the sun shining this is a wonderful place to bring children to frolic in the sand and sea water which is refreshed with the rise and fall of each tide.

Always sea water even when the tide is out, fantastic sunsets, a lovely boardwalk and close to restaurants and cafes

The big beach is good, but this small one is better. The water is safe, and the enclosed sandy beach is cosy and attractive. The land train turns round here, so is a good starting or finishing point for a trip on the train.

The lake keeps seawater in and thus provides a safe area free from tidal influence. There is a long walkway across the lake which can be negotiated at low tide. The area has been revitalised recently and it is marvellous.
