A rainy day brought us to the cracking little museum, we recieved a warm welcome from staff. Malcom was our guide for the mill tour and he was terrific, very informative and entertaining, really gave us an insight into the history of the industry. Well...More

We went to see the "Inspired by India " exhibition showing how Wardles of Macclesfield used Indian silks and were inspired by Indian designs. There are some interesting looking workshops over the next few months, connected with the opposition.

You must take the tour...its really interesting. The gentleman who took us round was very knowledgeable and made the story about silk fascinating.

My daughter and I loved it, very informative guide. Once we had done the guided tour of the mill the Museum came to life as we understood what we were looking at.
