Paid £7 per adult and £3.50 for children to essentially visit a park... there's very little that distinguishes this as a national trust location. Went for the Cadbury's egg hut and you don't even hunt a egg! You hunt for letters and then presented with a measly cream egg at the end... We feel ripped off to be honest

We went today to do the Easter hunt. We are NT members but the hunt was £2 a child with the promise of a chocolate bunny at the end. The staff were lovely at helpful. The children enjoyed doing the hunt. My average rating is because it costs £7 for an adult to go into the gardens and £3.50 a... More

We did the circular walk from Alderly Edge. When we made it to Hare Hill we was a little lost and was looking for signs/ maps. The staff member who approached us was very unfriendly, unwelcoming and down right rude. He simply could have directed us towards the route or map but was more interested in us being aware we... Unfortunately I happened to choose a very wet Saturday morning which meant I didn't see another visitor during my visit. However even in the gloom the walled gardens did look nice, but you'll need walking boots/shoes for the various woodland trails in wet weather. I did check out the Hide, but even the birds had given up on this wet... More

We love this place. The walled garden, planted with white flowering shrubs and roses is beautiful. The surrounding wilder garden has its own charm with ponds that will be restored to their former glories in 2017.

Absolutely fabulous place - one of those places you wish remained a well-kept secret. Beautiful walled-garden, lovely garden/ pond/ woodland walk - great for younger kids. Also a good starting point for more challenging walks. There's an enjoyable hare hunt as well. Well-maintained by the grounds men & just doesn't feel overly commercial, despite the arrival of the coffee stall... More

Visited during Halloween and followed the clues around the gardens trying to find the pumpkins. Storytelling, bird feeder making, candle making, face painting, hobby horse making and a scary headless horseman all included in the normal price. Good fun even if the headless horseman was a little too spooky for younger kids! Just needed to say boo loudly.

Really nice place to visit tucked away in Cheshire. Will definitely visit here again with the kids for a picnic and hare sculpture hunting.
