This park is absolutely beautiful and is a must visit for anyone who likes the environment or animals! You can walk all the trails in half a day but if you have limited mobility then I would suggest you walk the dunes path from the carpark just after the towns bridge. From this walk you can walk along the river,... More

I stumbled upon here and walked round on a chilli sunny day. Lots of birds to be seen, beautiful beach! Would be a good place to walk a dog, although required to be on lead except at the mile stretch of beach. Half the walk (beyond 3 mile path) closed for nesting Terns April to August, so will return in... More

you have to walk a while to get anywhere here and i've found it easier using the other side of the ythan in newburgh to see the best of the animal life as it's easier for the kids to get to the inlet where the seals are, nice views and scenery, no facilities

This place is home for dozens if not hundreds of seals. If you travel by public transport use bus no 63 from Aberdeen (around 40 minutes ride).

Such a lovely day we decided to go for a walk at Forvie nature reserve, handy car park by the bridge and a short walk in. Spent over two hours walking around admiring the lovely scenery abd watching such a wide variety of birds, We picked the right day to visit as no wind.

I have walked the Forvie Nature Reserve often, and each time I find something new to look at. Even on a dull and rainy day it is wonderful.

Went to forvie sands with the border terrier walking club - about 8 border terriers in all - had a great 2 hour walk - it was a beautiful day which helped - all dogs had a great time on the sand and playing in the water - would recommend totally!!

Lovely walk, topped off by a quick look in the visitor Centre where the lady looked out a squirrel and a killer whale poster/play sheet for my daughter - she loved finding the 'sleeping' fish.
