This is a smallish museum on the Marina,it offers an educational and interesting look at the history of Hartlepool, which is a very old settlement and now a town. It's good for children and adults really. It's also free, although donations are welcome!

Very well laid out with plenty of topics not just relevant to maritime. Good for all age groups with plenty of interactive things for children. Will return and would recommend.

Recently visited this museum, it is free of charge. Lots to see and plenty of interactive things for the children. If you are looking for somewhere to go free of charge and with plenty to see. Then you won't be disappointed. Staff are nice, friendly and helpful.

Called in as part of visit to Hartlepool Quay. Pleasantly surprised and worth a 20 minute browse round.

We'd come to Hartlepool and noticed the masts so decided to call in and check it out. Really glad we did as it was really enjoyable and nice that it's free. Went on to do the Trincomalee tour as well which was also really goog.

Wonderful. Museums in mid-sized towns like Hartlepool usually leave me cold, as many have a behind-glass-artefact-with-a-display card disconnection with visitors. The Museum of Hartlepool is not like that, with many short videos and full-on exhibits giving an altogether more involving experience. The lay-out is well thought out taking the visitor through separate areas, so much so that we went in... More

Learnt so much about Hartlepool. As a first time visitor it was time very well spent. Very interactive for children also, would recommend allowing somewhere in the region of 1 - 2 hours to fully appreciate what it has to offer.
