I think we visited a bit too late in the season. Even the peonies were gone. So just the roses really. We found the lack of continous signposting a bit confusing. Perhaps we will return next year. Cafe very expensive. Will bring a picnic next...More

Something for all ages from tiny to ancient! A corner of Kent that is forever something really quite different. So much for young visitors to enjoy while finding themselves absorbed into nature. It's that kind of place; it reaches into your soul. We found many...More

We visited for as a birthday treat using the Gardner's World 2 for one ticket. This is an utterly charming garden and we spent several happy hours wandering round going up to the top of the hill and exploring the woods looking for the Yeti!...More

This property has several areas, flowers, garden sculpture/ornaments, woodland walks & large children's play area. As you enter there is a small but very reasonably priced shop area with plants & ornaments, thankfully not National Trust prices plus there is a small tea room/cafe but...More

Where better to go for an afternoon tea on a beautiful mid-week June afternoon. You have to book in advance for the full afternoon tea experience, but it’s well worth it. I recommend no lunch beforehand! The price includes admission to the gardens so we...More

Last time we visited here it was in May for the Rhododendrons and Azaleas and it is beautiful then. This time it was equally spectacular for the Roses and Peonies. There is always something to see here and children are catered for (e.g a visit...More

Visited today, using the 2for1 ticket from Gardeners World magazine, which made it good value. The lady at the ticket booth was a delight - friendly and helpful. First stop, cafe for lunch. The ham/salad rolls were tasty and well-filled, at £5.95 each. Choice of...More

Many thanks for your review. Having uncovered the Rock Garden, which has been hidden for the past 50 years last winter, this winter's project is to get the pond watertight so we can get the waterfalls going again! Delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit!

I can see why it's called Himalayan lots of steep, wobbly paths to follow once at the summit there's a superb view over the Weald. The rhododendrons were magnicent and the rose garden was a haven of perfumes. I would not recommend pushing a wheelchair or...More

We visited here for the first time today as the weather was good and we wanted a family day out locally. Always avoided it before because we had a double buggy and I'd heard it is steep and hilly in places. This is true, but...More

Hello, The disabled parking is in front of the house and the cafe is to the left hand side of the house, so not far at all. We look forward to welcoming you.
