Each time I was in Pickering there was something interesting on at the Memorial Hall. Last night it was a charity concert of guitarist Richard Durrant, just brilliant!

Went as part of a wedding celebration using the main hall. Nice large function room with kitchen facilities. Nice clean toilets. Balcony overlooking the river at the back. I also admired the tapestry of the town in the entrance.

Just booked the hall for a birthday party. How helpful and well equipped. Really impressed and at a very reasonable cost.

Have visited the memorial hall several times and find it interesting. Love the tapestry in the hallway and also the whistler painting. Second hand bookstall just inside the doors. Small kitchen sometimes selling drinks and cakes. A lift to all floors.
