We chanced upon the church while making our way to Stirling Castle. Quite a beautiful place and wish we'd had more time. There are some beautiful gardens to walk through as well as the graveyards. The staff is very friendly and you can read from...More

We very much enjoyed studying the stained glass windows in this church. They were mostly Victorian, so beautiful clear colours and scenes. It was interesting to see to whom they were dedicated.

Interesting information that the congregation argued and split the building into two sections, one for the Presbyterians and the other for the Episcopals-- for 300 years. There's a tour guide there to help interpret what you see.

No charge for visiting but a donation box is there and a recommended £2 donation. The stained glass windows are amazing. You can light a candle for a loved one also. Please visit and keep this lovely church going.

Was awed at the architecture and sheer age of this lovely church. Friendly people to greet you at the door and answer any questions you may have. The only church in Scotland to have held a coronation. Books and guides available and there is a...More

This is the correct spelling - Holy Rude. They have a church website on which it is spelt Rude. So they should know. Holyrood is in Edinburgh.
