Shops are beautiful but most were shut

Went on a Wednesday afternoon and found a lot of shops were shut. Many artisan shops and beautiful inside though.

Looked a bit rundown from outside but inside is a different story as it is very upmarket. It reminded me of the passage and galleries of Paris which I love.

This is hidden from the main street. It is a great little spot to stop for coffee and hot chocolate .There are a few individual shops, from gifts to children's clothes and a lovely wedding shop. The Radio Café is first class.

What a wonderful find: very clean and tidy arcade with niche type shops. I had a wonderful time walking from one end to the next. I can't really put words to it but what I can say was that it brought a smile to my face...just being there.

We had heard of the comic shop in Stirling and went into the arcade this morning. What a disappointment that the shop didn't open until 12 noon. Found this very strange that a shop doesn't open until 12 on a Saturday. We could hang around for hours waiting so just left, we had travelled up from Fife.

A lovely old fashioned shopping arcade with lots of small specialist shops. A good eatery also present.

The Stirling Arcade is well preserved and provides a little glimpse of what shopping would have been like in the 19th century. Unlike some of the other arcades we visited in Scotland (Inverness' comes to mind) Stirling's has not been overrun by tacky souvenir or cut-rate shops. There is an interesting looking cafe and we loved browsing #Hashtag.
