Visited Southport for the weekend and visited numerous traditional pubs. On arriving at the Masons Arms, there was a strained atmosphere and I was hit with the over powering smell of urinal cakes which was seeping into the entire bar from the gents toilets, of...More

Visited this pub yesterday after getting soaked walking around town in the rain. What a lovely little pub. Roaring fire, good beer and friendly and cosy astmosphere. Just waht we were looking for on a cold, dull, rainy day. Stayed far longer than we intended:)

Proper pub with exceptionally friendly staff. It's one of those places you can go in on your own & get chatting to someone . I love to call in here for a night cap or on a sunny afternoon in the roof garden.

This pub has been around since ....forever. We dropped in for a drink after eating at Tyndalls. Great prices and Fiona was the barperson that night. Very friendly and obviously enjoys her job.
