Only £15.50 for a round of golf!! Opted for a buggy (£20). Course was in descent condition. Lots of birds on the course due to the nature reserve next door. Could do with some new markers for the yellow tees.

For a municipal course I found Southport to be a good track and very enjoyable to play. It’s greens are in good condition and the course itself has clearly held up well to the wet winter we have endured. The fairways are well managed and...More

A very testing game in quite windy conditions, lost about six golf balls, more to bad play than conditions, enjoyable nonetheless, would help if flag colours were consistent and geese had their young at Martin mere

Greens were in great condition and some interesting features installed into this muni. The bunkers need fresh sand but a really enjoyable round and good value

We played this course today and whilst we did enjoy it we too found the going very slow. Perhaps it could be pointed out to these players that they are spoiling others golfers games by not letting players play through. We thought the greens were...More

A decent enough local "muni". Although the course is not all that tough, our round was made harder by the huge amount of daisies on the fairways??!!

I am an avid golfer and take pleasure in visiting different clubs as often as possible and am pleased to say that my round here puts among the top 5 municipal courses in the north-west. Challenging course, but playable. Well worth a visit.
