What a treat, went to Southport with the family and decided to give this a try and it was so quaint and interesting. Such a lovely little place and something you can tick off your bucket list.

We found this through a link on a page by chance and decided to pay a visit. Sounds a bit weird but actually really interesting if you have any sort of curiosity about lawnmowers! The place itself looks like a shop in the street and...More

Spent about an hour in the museum and found it very interesting. Start upstairs with an audio guide which has been put together well and highlights some of the collection of mowers and grasscutters. There are lots of machines and there is quite a bit...More

We loved this museum - it just suited our nerdy side! Absolutely stuffed with lawnmowers and lawnmower memoriabilia, we couldn't take it all in! Audio tour available. Really, really interesting, surprisingly! Lots of history about mowing lawns, celebrity snippets and lots and lots of lawnmowerd...More

Brian gave us a great tour of this museum. The film from the 1940s was interesting. IF you are near Southport I would definitely recommend going to this attraction.

With family in the area we have seen the sign often pointing to this site. It's a little bit out of the way and is housed in a lawnmower shop - who would have guessed? But, if you are looking for something to fill in...More

£3 entry for adults and some steep narrow stairs to negotiate. A recorded guide is played over the tannoy and tells you when to move between rooms. It lasts about 30 minutes. Quite humerous at times. I came away having learned something new.

I thought the museum was really interesting, despite not being an enthusiast. The collection is extensive and varied and provides a glance at how life has changed. I especially liked the children’s mowers (not toys) but really so children could cut the grass and all...More
