What a place for bird watching. In winter the marshes are full of water birds, some having flown in for huge distances for their winter break. Watch the swans and geese flying over and the fantastic murmurations of starlings.

Free parking but you can give a donation, pleasant walk down to the beach though at this time of year you need walking boots or very good trainers, This time of year ideal for seeing the skeins of geese flying overhead

September is the best time to see an abundance of wildfowl. Well kept hides on a modest site give great views of avocet, godwits and wigeon. Enjoyed my visit immensely.

Binoculars a necessity as the birds were quite a distance from the parking lot. Limited parking but peaceful.

There are two hides that offer great views of the inner marsh to see plenty of geese, wading and plenty other visiting birds. I am only a very interested onlooker but this does attract plenty of 'twitchers' as there is a lot to see here...More

The car park is down the road a bit but you can park right opposite if you have a disabled parking badge. If you haven’t it would still be ok I think, there’s space there for 3 cars. Anyway you can still park in the car park... More
