The weather was rather drizzly so we thought we'd visit this place. The castle was steeped I history and had interesting items to view throughout history, e.g. carpet cleaners through time, slot machines which children can use for 2p, a Victorian kitchen etc etc. Once you have walked through the house you come across the mirrors which change your shape,... We are a family of five with children ranging from 2-11, great for the younger 2 but nothing really for the 11 year old!! Still had a good day out as it takes a while to walk round

I went here with my 8 year old. Although she enjoyed it, personally I would say it's aimed at the younger children. The weather was appalling which was good as we didn't have to queue for any rides. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's very hilly so be prepared and Wear suitable footwear.

A great place to go for families with younger children. So much to do it's difficult to fit it all in on one day! They offer a good return visit ticket so if you want to go back again during the current season it's much cheaper. Definitely recommend a visit.

Down in North Devon for a week. Weather not so good so couldn't do the beach so decided to come here. We have a 4 and 5yr old and the whole place was perfect for them. No big queues, reasonable pricing throughout, very well kept. All in all great way to spend a day. Definately recommend.

Great day for the family. So much for all ages. Beautiful gardens and trees. Lots to do for children. Well worth a visit. We had a sunny day with clear blue sky so very lucky!

Visited with children 20 years ago, now went with grandson. Still a great place to visit. Eclectic mix of nostalgic fairground amusements & novelty attractions as well as rides for children & beautiful landscaped pathways & gardens. Lots of slopes & hills, so more challenging for elderly visitors, however seating extensive & my mother found it pleasant to sit &... More

We loved this place, my two girls aged 5 and 8 were entertained for the whole day. The value for money is great. Is was a damp day when we visited which meant the place was fairly quiet, but that worked in our favour as we didn't have to wait for any rides other than the toboggan. There's loads of... More

I wouldn't bother going to this if you think it is an actual castle. We were there for 36 minutes and paid £62 for the privilege of it. We had to go and ask for a refund. There was no theme across the 'theme park' , most of the 'rides' were closed or unmanned without staff. Everything is very simple... More

Hi Kadence7 I'm sorry I haven't replied to your review sooner. I am going to assume we gave you a full refund if you left after 36 minutes. Therefore writing that you paid £62 for the privilege is somewhat misleading. The rides open 1 hour after the front door. If you arrived at 10am and left at 10.36am this would... More

Me, my partner, friend and her 7 year old came for my sons 3rd birthday and met more family there. We live local and none of us had been before and we all loved it! The dungeons were a bit scary but we just made it fun and all screamed as load as we could. It was so much bigger... More
