It was very hard to make a choice of what home baked delight to try! I settled for a savoury cream tea instead of a sweet one. This was cheeses scone with cream cheese and chutney - delish! limited opening hours in October however.

Superb cream teas (both the traditional and savoury) as well as cakes, soup and pasties. A very warm welcome from the owners, lots of puzzles for the kids to do...... giving the adults time to enjoy the experience. The tour of the mill also highly recommended ...... we will be going back next year!

Utterly delicious savoury scone, with gorgeous cream cheese and sumptuously sweet onion marmalade. My only regret? I couldn't eat 2! The mrs had a traditional cream tea, which I'm told was also just as excellent. Huge pot of tea did us proud too. A lovely little tea stop, which we did a round trip of 400 miles to visit (ok... This tea room is undoubtedly the best tea room I've visited to date! The food was fantastic and the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you! The entertainment was an added bonus. Anyone visiting North Devon and love cream teas would be silly not to come here! Well done on this cute little hidden gem. You've got it... More

Visted today with my husband and our four childern of various ages, we have been on holiday in devon and decided to try out this place based on the good reviews. Had to travel about 45 mins to get there but it was definitely worth it. Beautiful setting and owners very welcoming. Tea was lovely as were the cakes and... More

We had a lovely visit to the tea room, and the owners couldn't do enough for us. Our 4 year old was given a grand selection of treats as an alternative to his first choice of ice cream (temporary freezer fault that day!) and was enchanted by the toy he was given to play with. Our cream tea and cake... More

It's not easy to find this but if you keep going you come across it hidden in the plants. Unless they've cut them back.

Having read the glowing reviews we had great expectations of this venue. Whilst admittedly late October is no doubt not the best time to visit, the initial reception was quite abrupt and when asked if there was a lunch menu, the response was condescending, stating that as it was a tea room, lunch was not available. I therefore settled for... More

A friend of ours strongly recommended that we visit the Corn Mill for a cream tea and we were so glad that we do (so glad in fact that we went back again a few days later). We didn't visit the mill itself, only the tearoom. We had a cream tea and a savoury tea- the scones were fresh and... More
