Pay your £1 and go for a drive down a pier - park up and go for a short walk, if you need more food or drink than a Costa can offer then you're in the wrong place! (i.e. no fish & chips!)

I've been in the isle during the winter. So, not much to do outdoors. The pier is a nice place to have some fun moments. There are some "cassino-like" areas, games for kids and a pub. The ocean view is closed during the winter.

Typical of our south coast seaside piers, lots of amusements and penny arcade machines, a small bowling alley, a section on the right as you go in for food and a bar on the left (Scruffy Jacks). The outside area was closed off, it looks...More

Place is good as piers go. I am from Hastings so it’s nice to see a proper pier that isn’t over run with Eastern European tatty stalls. Loved the crazy golf and the bowling.

Started in Scruffy Jacks bar. Ended up staying there watching football. Nice place. Nice atmosphere plenty of screens. And shamrock on my pint of Guinness. Must go back and see what else this pier has to offer one day

Sandown has a great beach and lovely views. Is a shame that all the pier and promenade facilities are worn out and need refurbishment. We felt like going back to 1970. You seem to be getting enough tourists to invest modernizing this sea side.
