The Isle of Wight Zoo is home to one of Britain's largest collection of tigers, many of whom are rescue animals. With several superb new enclosures modeled on natural tiger habitats in India, the zoo is a fantastic place to see these wonderful animals relaxing. A number of other animals also live there, including lemurs, jaguars and lions. Family friendly with disabled access throughout.

Do not expect a zoo on the scale of London but well worth a visit. A couple of hours should be ample but there is a pleasant picnic area and cafe so it is possible to spend a whole day there. There are animal based activities at regular intervals and the younger visitors will certainly enjoy the experience as the... More

Excellent parking, good half day activity but no longer than a couple of hours. We were unfortunate that we arrived just after a large school party so everywhere was a little crowded.

Enjoyed our visit despite being a small zoo. However we joined a talk about the meerkats, watched the capucin & spider monkeys being fed & a talk 'Through a catkeepers eyes' which were all worth doing. We also found the PLUTO exhibition interesting. We felt the cost was a little high & some areas of the zoo looked a little... More

I strongly suggest the name for this zoo is changed to "the isle of wight small zoo"- then there wont be any disappointment. went 2 for price of 1 ticket as tigers birthday- special offer- really wish there had been more animals- all looked well cared for.

Charlotte and her dedicated team provide such an important role in life to provide love and care to their family of big cats, most who have been rescued from dreadful previous lives and obviously have no chance of ever being returned to the wild. This zoo provides the next best thing where they can remain safe and well fed. Testiment... More

Was a shame there are not that many animals here. Seems a little over priced when you can be in and out in 20 mins. Never the less, staff were very friendly and informative. Beautiful animals and I like the idea of being able to partake in events such as Meerkat talks etc.

Not being a "zoo person" I did wonder how I would feel - but needn't have worried. All the animals are so obviously well cared for by people who so obviously love them! It was really nice to be able to meet & talk to the keepers & to hear & see how they interact with their particular charges. It... More

My husband and I ( Chris and myself Lorraine) from Stockport visited the Zoo last Friday, 12/05/27, we were made very welcome, the keepers in particular Lisa and Alan were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and made our visit memorable, as did our encounter with the Meerkats, which was an amazing experiance, I am nervous of insects and to get the... Visited 11 years ago enjoyed it then and enjoyed it second time around there was more to see this time. Unfortunately a lot of the animals were in hiding so we didn't see them all, it was good to see the white tiger .

Good zoo with an excellent guided Safari. All outdoors so not so good in the rain but will take you the best part of half a day if you follow the Safari guide.
