If travelling without your car the Go Explore card is definitely value for money. It enables you to use horse tram, electric railway, steam railway and buses all over the island.

The sound of steam locos, the smells and the slam door carriages all evoke memories of steam travel and provide a way of seeing parts of the island off the beaten track.

Get GO ticket, all staff were very helpful are pleasant . Able to travel all over the island easily. Used all types of transport, horse drawn, steam, electric and bus even mountain rail.

We also bought a travel pass which included free entrance to some museums etc. There was no need to hire a car as transport of all sorts is available on the island. We bought the 5 day pass at the airport. I believe you can... More
