I usually play at the Winterfield Golf Club - and did earlier this week. But step-daughter's father-in-law took me round the Dunbar Golf Course. The posh one! Not too demanding, but a lovely course with links looking out across rocks. And the sky was blue and the sun shining. I hope to come again.

Dunbar is a cracking course that beguiles you through a pleasant front 9 then bares its teeth on the back (esp. 11, 12 & 13). The staff is first rate, the course is always in wonderful shape and the variety of holes keeps things interesting. Food in the lounge is tasty and reasonable and overlooks the 3rd green. A special... More

Playing this 160 year old course is just simply a treat ... very well maintained , good caddies , interesting holes , with west wind easier to play the front nine than the back ones as you will face rough winds taking your ball anywhere ...ENJOY!

Dunbar is a great links golf experience and not to be missed if you're going to be playing in East Lothian. A classic layout that's both challenging and beautiful, she'll lead you out and back over gently rolling fairways with stunning views of the North Sea and surrounding area. Clubhouse was warm and cozy after our round (a steady rain... More

Lying just down the coast from East Lothian's more famous brethren, Dunbar stands out for the trueness of its greens, and its challenging but uncruel nature. If you prefer courses with thick impenetrable rough at the edges of fairways from which a wedge out is your only choice, if you can even find your ball, then this course is not... More

Fantastic links course. Bunkers aplenty but superb condition with fantastic views of the Firth of Forth. Friendly welcome in Clubhouse and Pro Shop. A golf course experience not to be missed.

I was in Dunbar for one day with my wife as part of our week-long Scottish vacation. Dunbar Golf Club was the obvious choice of clubs for me to play while my wife was hiking. I looked at the website, emailed the secretary and was quickly given a tee time. I also rented clubs and hired a caddie. I arrived... More

A testing course which was used for The Open qualifying in 2013. The views are quite the best in the whole of Scotland as the sea is visible from all 18 holes. In fact I counted 9 holes which actually run alongside the sea which must be some sort of record anywhere in the world; apparently the clubhouse is the... More

Experience started with the exceptionally helpful team in the Pro Shop. Most accommodating and welcoming. The first 3 holes are a gentle, albeit slightly uninteresting, appetite whetter. From 4 onwards the course improves significantly. Testing but fair, even for a 23 handicap... Afterwards the Clubhouse and Members were most welcoming.
