We came here on a lovely January day, late afternoon when the sun was just going down and it was very quiet and peaceful, with only a few boats in the harbour. Managed to catch a glimpse of the seal, who appears to be resident in the harbour as we have seen him previously, catching fish from the boats. There... More

Everything you want from a old harbour, fishing boats the dramatic past walls and the rolling waves, it was quiet but the fishermen still have time to talk to you, I expect it gets busy in summer months, but plenty to see and loads of seating for you to sit and look out to sea.

Sitting here in the Fresh and Beautiful Sunshine, overlooking the Harbour. Having our Picnic. What more do you need out of Life. It's a gorgeous place

If you are in Dunbar you must go down to the Harbour, a nice little walk around and if you are lucky you will see the seals coming in, getting a bit of an upgrade too to nice places to sit and watch the fishing boats come and go.

Very romantic to watch the harbor in the dark and with complete silence apart from the waves! Small and quiet with the fishing boats waiting to get to work!

Lovely harbour, took about 20 minutes to walk round and take in the gorgeous views. Castle is closed off but you can read about it. Dunbar is a quaint village with some lovely shops.

Dunbar Castle was destroyed in the 19th century to build the harbour but still a nice place to visit.

Good for a wee walk to explore, watch harbour activity and get close to the sea! The harbour can be part of a longer walk but I recommend stopping off to explore and enjoy!

Dunbar harbour is always a pleasant place to visit 0 and watch the fishin g boats come in and chat to the local fishermen etxc - We were there yesterday and Sammy the common seal and two of his pals turned up and gave us a round of applause. There is a tea stall there is in the summer and... More

A must-see if you are in the area! The harbour is a working port, with fishing boats and pleasure craft, set among cliffs and lawns and narrow lanes of pretty cottages. And it's great for watching seals behaving badly as they cruise the inner harbour cadging fish from the boats landing their catch: we watched one seal hauling itself onto... More
