Parts are quite dirty but lots of choice of games, rides and food etc. Not much space when lots of people with all the bits and bobs around. Great views. Lovely little arcade

The worse Pier we have been on ! You had to walk through crowded noisy amusement arcades to get to the other end . The normal side walks were closed - they obviously want you to spend money in the exorbitant machines . It was...More

This is a classic sort of British Pier although you are forced to walk through the Amusements first - not a major problem as you are soon out back in the fresh air. However there is now a "bouncy castle" sort of affair which block...More

Nothing to extraordinary about this, it is exactly what you'd expect. lots of flashing lights and noise. Plenty of ticket machines for the kids, so get a hundred tickets, if you are lucky you might have enough for a pencil.

Like all Piers today it seems that access to the outside of The Pier is through the arcade where there are numerous slot machines.Very popular though with all ages. This Pier has lovely views from either side but is spoilt by the fact that you are...More

Don't waste your money in these amusements. Didn't get single coin out for one pound in. No fun at all. Cross the road to leisure 2000 where one pound yielded 74p

Lots of slots machines and noisy, not to my taste, lots of fast food. Only a short visit, couldn't get to the end of the pier to admire the views.

So, compared to the piers of blackpool or Brighton, the pier here is pretty low key. But you know what, it's all the better for it. It feels like a proper British pier, with snack kiosks, arcade games and places to just stand a little...More

While it's good to see a good-old English favourite (a pier) at this seaside resort, it is a shame that it appears to exist primarily due to the popularity of the slot-machine enthusiast. Certainly a lot of pennies were changing hands very quickly. Just glad...More

sorry i said yes that was to another question i was asked .. I am not sure if it is open all year .
Hi Steve, I would just like to reiterate the danger of the seagulls not just on the pier but even in the town of Paignton and surrounding areas. They have become fearless and brazen. We were sat on a bench and my Partner and I were totally shocked at the lightning speed with which a gull swooped and stole the whole of the hot dog he was eating. It happened in a flash; now if they are brave enough to do that to an adult goodness knows what could happen to a child. These are menaces in the sky and it seems wrong that they are protected. We even saw a total waste of resources with two fire engines deployed to rescue a seagull that had become trapped up on Alta Vista road in netting at the top of some flats. I would also like to add that I love Paignton, but people do need to be made aware of this real danger.

Yes there is a fortune teller on the pier, but she is only there in the summer months. She is on the right hand side as you go along the pier, she was also there last year.
