Sandscale Haws is home to one of the largest populations of natterjack toads in the UK and there are boardwalks running from the new Pay & Display car park to their breeding pools. Lots of areas to walk in from the beach to the dunes...More

This a good place to visit with a variety of habitats the dunes are really interesting. This time of year bird life is good especially at High Tide

A superb sandy beach for walking the dogs or just going for a walk with a beautiful view in the background of the Cumbria mountains. Make sure you check the time of the tides as the sea comes in very close to the sand dunes....More

A great place to see wildlife, natter jack toads are known in the area... Great walk through the dunes and along the beach... Could easily spend hours there just walking taking in the beauty of the area... A must is keeping aware of the tidal...More
