So in the old days when local fisherman were wrecked, they always knew where they were by the size of the pebbles ! In between Chesil beach and... More

Wonderful and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean that surprise you as the reach the summit of the walk from the causeway. Wild and windy but great fun. Keep hold of small children when you near the water -very rough

I had heard about this beach and was pleased that I came to see it as it is impressive, but it was November and too cold to be out on the beach. We stopped off in one of the few beach cafes for a cup of tea but it was out of season and the place was almost completely deserted.

We trekked down from Portland bill, Portland Heights across the quarries down the cliff path to chesil beach. Breathtaking views from the top and even we had lunch on the beach. Fishing and family rock pool friendly. A nice day out

plenty of visitors , if more money was spent on a better and bigger centre this would only enhance the area with money gained. have been before and will come back again .

I love visiting Chesil Beach and the surrounding areas. This place is well worth visiting especially on a sunny day. Can't wait until I return.

An immense beach offering a great way to spend some time just walking and watching the sailing in the area, not a lot of shelter, can be very blustery but the odd cafe to enjoy an autumn hot drink, well worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely pebble beach with lovely blue sea. Dog friendly but lots of fishermen around. Car park was reasonable with £1 per hour and able to pay by phone.
