Beverley has two shopping sides to it really, west of the railway line is the 'old' part of the town with it's market square and loads of (smaller versions of) High Street shops, local independent stores and a wonderful outdoor market on Wednesdays and Saturdays....More

Went here when it was raining, only to find there was nowhere to shelter except in the shops! Just a collection of chain stores and eating places, totally out of character for Beverley, and very quiet when we spent a few minutes there one afternoon.

An out of town type shopping centre but in town, which is good. The shops are open in a series of streets rather than indoors under a roof. The weather was fine so there were no issues, but when it’s pouring it must affect things....More

All the shops are in very close proximity to eachother so I wouldn't worry about what the weather will be like while you're there.

Depends on what you classify as near!! It's a good 10 minute walk from Tesco to Flemingate. It's a nice walk if you go down Toll Gavel and Butcher Row route, but if you walk via Walkergate it's dull.
