Given a warm friendly welcome on entering. Allowed to wander around at own pace to wonder at the 900 year old building.

A charming, welcoming priory with lots to see. The monument to Percy Bysshe Shelley and his wife Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley are a must see. Look out for the story of the wooden beam. Sweet little shop!

A great place for a leisurely stroll, walk through the Quomps, and the harbour then past the Priory and on to the High Street for Lunch of a coffee in one of the many restaurants or cafes. There's something to suit everyone's taste from the traditional greasy spoon to up to date cafes with some fantastic cakes and great breakfasts!

We visited here today, and thought the scenery was lovely. We parked in the budgens car park which was 2 mins walk if that into the town centre which led to the church. The church was lovely and definately worth a visit.

Close to the harbour and on the end of the high street it is worth a stroll around if you are into gravestones and churches.

The unique delight of the Christchurch Priory Church is not merely the wonderful building, beautiful from without as well as from within, but the wider surroundings of the grounds and gardens which provide for a spectrum of waterside walks, picnic park and grass with sitting places, lovely fruit trees....in season..and bits of ruin, all right next door to the waterfront.... A very impressive priory church steeped in a thousand years of history. In a beautiful setting with lovely walks through to harbour. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers and peaceful corners for contemplation and to soak in the glorious surroundings.
