About
Beautiful 18th-century home set on a sustainable estate and gardens. Surrounded by lush parkland and thick woodland with Benaughlin mountain rising in the background, Florence Court enjoys a majestic countryside setting in West Fermanagh. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this extensive and welcoming place. On a guided tour of the Georgian mansion you can hear stories about the Cole family and their staff, who lived here for over 250 years. Outdoors take a gentle walk or long cycle along 10 miles of trails in the adjoining forest park and see fascinating industrial heritage features, including the water-powered sawmill and blacksmith's forge. The gardens are home to the mother of all Irish yew trees, as well as the kitchen garden which is being restored to its 1930s character.

Very Interesting
Aug. 2021
We visited Florence Court on a rainy day but this didn't spoil the day. The grounds alone make a lovely day out but we managed to book onto the house tour which was really informative and with only 10 people allowed at present, was really personal.

Upstairs aspect of tour closed unnecessarily
Aug. 2021 • Friends
Eve was fantastic as a guide, very knowledgeable and very willing to answer questions informatively!

Very disappointed not to get upstairs to see the bedrooms. Covid was cited as the reason but this was clearly an excuse. We weren’t allowed to touch anything anyway. We were encouraged to use the banister when we went down to the basement as we were told the banister was sanitized. Why couldn’t the banister to the upstairs be sanitized too? Then there was no covid risk.

If half of the tour isn’t along place, it should be made clear at payment so people can make an informed decision to whether to proceed!

Beautiful
Aug. 2021
Florence court is beautiful. We went for the guided tour of the house which lasted roughly 45 mins and at £3 per person it is definitely worth it. The house is gorgeous and the tour guides are very informative.
We went to the cafe for tea/coffee and a sandwich. There was a good selection of sandwiches, crisps and tray bakes.
Unfortunately it was a miserable day when we visited so didn’t do the full walk of the gardens but we did make an effort to go and see the rose garden - beautiful!
It would be lovely to bring a picnic here on a nice day.

Lovely walks

Lovely walks in the pretty gardens. Worth a visit by National Trust members.
Didn’t go into the house as it was closing by the time we arrived.

Lovely gardens and walk. The house tour was very good only half an hour or so. Good place to kill a few hours

Stunning place to visit
Jul. 2021 • Couples
My wife and I visited yesterday and were amazed at the place. We hadn't heard of it until recently but the house and grounds are beautiful. The gardens are also a lovely place to walk through and admire. We would highly recommend a visit.

National Trust at its finest
Jul. 2021
The house, grounds and gardens are all beautiful as you would expect for a property of this grandeur but what really made our trip was the option to hire mountain bikes to explore the longer forest trails. Really was ax lot of fun!

Lovely house and grounds
Jul. 2021
As NT members and having a family interest in this property it was great to visit. It is set in beautiful grounds, with good visitor facilities (visitor centre/cafe/toilets). The house itself is visited by guided tour, the member of staff knowledgeable and friendly. Another lovely NT property which is recommended.

Fabulous place to visit
Jun. 2021
Visited Florencecourt today - This is a fabulous place to visit with beautiful scenery and walks. The national trust staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend if you are in the area and the little cafe is well worth a visit - a pure treat.
