On a cycling tour I detoured to experience the ferry. Only cost a couple of pounds and was nice to be at sea rather than pedalling for a few minutes! No fuss but no frills either.

OK... for the novelty of taking a car across a ferry you will pay £5 (2018 price). However the costs for Bodinnick for foot passengers £2 (adult) 80p (child up to the age of 13). A quick total for a family of 4 with teenagers...More

Costs £2.20 per adult and £1 per child for a single trip so quite pricey for families there and back.

Good value, no wait, easy access, friendly chaps, interesting craft, accurate sailing allowing for wind and tide, remained afloat for whole voyage, cheery wave upon demarcation. All good.

Regular crossings available. Very easy to use. No return fares though. travelling by car was only slightly dearer than going as a foot passenger. when we went into Fowey we went as foot passengers, didn't take long & saved us having to navigate narrow streets...More

I’m not too fussed about the fiver for 90 seconds journey but what did get my goat up was the rudeness off the staff, ok it’s a monotonous job but hardly our fault. No interaction at all except a poker face. Staff awareness and customer...More

We used the ferry both as foot passengers and with the car on numerous occasions whilst staying at Bodinnick. Staff friendly and a quick, easy crossing to Fowey. It would have been even better if a passenger ferry ran after 8pm (say, to 11pm to...More

The ferry only takes around 2 minutes to make the crossing, it will then load up again and make the return journey, so usually there is usually no more than a ten minute wait at either side. At mid-day you will have no... More

About 2 hours. Personally I think the Bodinnick to Polruan direction better - lovely views.
