A beautiful place
Oct. 2020
This natural harbour is a haven for birdlife as well as being a place to watch activities on the water. If you wish, you can just sit and watch the world go by. pick a fine day and bring your binoculars, there's always something to see.

Beautiful place to walk or enjoy water sports!
Sep. 2020 • Couples
A beautiful and quaint place to walk along the harbour, past the pond which has a wonderful variety of birds. In the harbour there were paddleboarders and respectful jet skiers, families crabbing from the wall and children and dogs playing in the water off the small beach. A really enjoyable afternoon!

Harbour and marina
Aug. 2020
It is nice to watch the small boats going to and fro. So many different sizes in the marina. we like to read the names and wonder why they have that name a fun way to spend some time

A lovely spot just before Hayling Island. Two nice pubs and picturesque houses. Looks out over to the Island and is good place to swim, paddle board, fish and go crabbing.

Brilliant staff and good food.

Really nice food and excellent service. Each time we called we were treated with great courtesy - was extremely busy but all staff seemed very ‘on it’ - maybe a tad on the pricey side but we went in the ‘eat out to help out’ deal time and were very pleased. Will return when they start offering their set price menus again.

Bird watching
Aug. 2020 • Couples
We really love to have a walk here with our cameras to see the different waders on the mud flats as the tide goes out.
There were lots of Little Egrets, Oyster catchers, Curlew, Redshanks and many more we didn't recognise. Rumour has it there were even Cattle Egrets in the trees behind the millpond. But we didn't see for ourselves.
Pubs nearby.
Large Car Park - free to park
Toilets near the car park.

Scenic shoreline on a hot day
Aug. 2020 • Couples
Walked the shore between Emsworth and Langstone and found a nice spot to sit and watch the natural world from for an hour in the baking hot sun. So peaceful with very few people around. Watching the gulls and rooks look for food in the seaweed and harbour mud. It’s a nice walk along the shore but take a drink with you on a hot day.

Pleasant area.

After an early morning sojourn to the beach region on the Southern point, I thought I’d take in this, specific area, and reacquaint myself with a spot of........magnet fishing.

I was feeling ‘lucky’, and felt sure, that I’d find something dating back to the Napoleonic era, or indeed, WW2.......although as a ‘friendly’, elderly local remarked to me, as he shuffled past at precisely 0.03 MPH - ‘let’s hope you don’t dredge up some unexploded WW2 ‘live’ ordinance.....we don’t need the virus and additional drama as well....’

The area around the Royal Oak Pub is very picturesque and well worthy of a reconnoitre ......the oyster farming area, is also worth a walk nearby, and there was many a Brent Goose, milling around....not being a ‘bird spotter’, I wouldn’t have been aware of this, had a second local not pointed this out to me.

Earlier in the morning is the optimum time, to visit, apparently, and certainly it’s worth an investigation.
