The most easterly point of the UK is graced by a vandalised, abandoned and half finished incomprehensible concrete art installation. It's a cross between a small grain silo and a gasometer. It's more brutal than brutalist art! The Euroscope is a sort of ground mounted...More

It's the most eastern point In England. It's has a compass which tells you which states what you would travel to if you walked/swam in a straight line. Not much there but a thing to say you have done. You can walk to Lowestoft seafront...More

To get to Ness Point you have to walk through an industrial area and not it's not pedestrian friendly. As one local has said "Sort yourself out Lowestoft." Better off going to see Mutford Lock and the bridges.

As the most easterly point of the UK, you would expect something a bit better than a dirty large plaque on the floor. I'm a resident of Lowestoft and can't imagine what tourists think of this poor attempt at a landmark. Sort yourself out Lowestoft.

Apart from it being at the most easterly point of the British Isles, it will only take a minute or so to look at. Just a map mileage of places on the ground. Otherwise just the wind turbine to look at. The view out to...More

It's nothing incredible - your mind isn't likely to be blown, but it's worth a stop as it is interesting and, ignoring the industrial estate you find yourself in (although it is good to see the Birds Eye factory so close to the sea) and...More

The furthest point East, is here. There are plenty of markers, to show you the way you are looking. Famous point of the ness.

Came to complete a challenge to visit the four compass points of mainland Britain. This is the least picturesque...fine if you are in the area but not quite worth going out of your way for.
