Starting from Milford-on-Sea, this is a two-mile walk alongthe coast, ending at Hurst Castle, an ancient monument open year 'round, with a cafe. A ferry runs from the village of Keyhaven from Easter through summer months.

There are many trails you can take, which will give you a short or longer walk. You can see many different kinds of birds in the Keyhaven Nature Reserve. You can even view the Isle of Wight from the path. There are signs along the way that point out places of interest, such as the salt marshes.

The walk was about 5 miles - It is great with loads of birds to see as well as the coastal views - good underfoot and a pub at the end - there is a shorter walk back inland - Really good

Lovely walk whether you walk for half hour or a couple of hours. Beautiful scenery. Different types of birds. A must thing to do when visiting Lymington.

I would have liked to walk the whole of The Solent Walk but I have an arthritic knee and this was not possible but for the short walk I did it was beautiful. We were lucky because the day was sunny and bright and the views and activities on The Solent were a delight!

Not for the faint of heart if one wants to complete the walk from Lymington to Keyhaven and back. One could catch a bus back but the times are variable. Make sure you have a windbreak as the winds off the sea can chill one to the bone if not prepared. There are public conveniences either end but none along... More

We cycled from Leamington to Keyhaven which was breathtakingly beautiful. A good flat ride over firm ground - would have cycled further but didn't have time.

Nice for short walk but landscape the same, so dont walk so far as all the marshes look familiar. Can be alittle windy so go prepared

The walk is a must for those interested in birds. The walk is level ground and can be accessed from several places. It can incorporate Lymington which we find to be a great turning point with many delightful coffee shops.

Just love the walk from lymington to milford on sea, beautiful wildlife, amazing views. Even the cows ignore you, pit stop at keyhaven and walk back or walk to milford and get the bus back
