A garden well worth seeking out: lovely tranquil atmosphere & attractively presented. It is however pretty small & I assume gets crowded in the summer: I imagine the limited parking gets difficult too when busy. Helpful, pleasant staff and limited access to the house.

Although this National Trust garden is fairly small it is packed with interesting plants and a great vegetable garden. Enjoy a coffee in their restaurant setting in the sunshine.

If you're in the area, this is a small but beautiful garden. It's close to various other National Trust gardens so not far from Montacute, Lytes Cary or Barrington Court. The garden has a delightful covered seating area overlooking a large lily pond. Also the...More

We thought this was a house and gardens but when we got there it was just gardens. They are worth a look but you only need around 30 mins to look round. Didn't try the coffee shop as we arrived late.

The garden is not so big, but a nice place to relax. Nice cafe as well. A bit too small to stay very long.

This is an exceptionally well-cared for garden imaginatively laid out with beautiful rill, herbaceous borders and well-ordered vegetable garden and a number of stunning vistas. Everything makes one thankful for the National Trust including the modest but effective tea room

Hi Carol, My advice is, always check the National Trust website before a visit. It gives loads of Inf., opening times, prices, things to see & facilities. It says, "Small tea-room serving delicious cakes and cream teas". So... More

Hi Sarah, Dogs are welcome in the courtyard where the small shop and tearoom are but they aren't allowed into the gardens. If you do go you will understand why, but the garden 'rooms' wouldn't be appropriate for visitors... More
