Off the A20 west of Ashford. Travel by car. The gardens offer a mix of formal and informal planting. Longest yew hedge in England, beautiful spring woodland garden packed with blooms in March. Kitchen garden. Small cafe in the stables where you buy the tickets. Loos and parking. Entry to green free to RHS member, otherwise it's £5. Honesty box... More

Just returned from a lovely relaxing afternoon visit to the gardens. This really is a gem of a place to visit. Looking forward to seeing the seasons &what they bring. Also to any plants as they become available to buy.

Large gardens nicely landscaped with lots to see if you are a keen gardener. There were various metal sculptures some of which I thought were fun and enjoyable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Visited this week to enjoy another successful Autumn Week. We also come along to Spring Week at Easter and, as always, haven't been disappointed by the activities and treasure hunt put on in the garden. A flat rate (and very reasonable at that) to enter and all activities included in this price. The gardens are beautifully kept with plenty of... More

A group of my old school friends and a few more to bring numbers up to minimum 12 required enjoyed an amazingly well organised tour of Godinton. The house tour takes about one hour and should not be missed. Our guide Manuella certainly had amazing knowledge of the house, particularly detailing the beautiful porcelain of which there is a considerable... More

Perhaps not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort. For once we decided to do the House Tour, finding that we were the only ones to be shown round. Well worth the money, and the very pleasant Lady was very informative. With the wood work in what was the medieval hall, very impressive indeed. Gardens and walks... More

Book yourselves a pic nic during the summer and sit on the croquet lawn and enjoy a bawdy English drama spoken under the moon and stars. We have visited Godinton now for four years and watched a series of excellent plays in the beautiful setting eating and drinking with friends. The intermission gives you time to access the walled and... More

Although close to Ashford the Godinton estate is not easyto find but when you get there the trip is well worth the effort. The gardens are simply stunning with the show piece the walled garden which amongst other plants houses one of the best collections of delphiniums in the country. Adjoining it is the small italianate garden which is an... More
