Overall, the shopping centre meets most of our needs but it is pretty generic and the toilets are not always clean. There are a few nice shops with friendly staff and places to eat. I strongly recommend Rush (if you want a nice albeit a bit more expensive haircut), Clarks (we buy all our shoes there but you may need... More

Whilst ther are many shops the layout is not really that suitable for Carers pushing wheelchairs. Too many narrow aisles on the Boutique Shopping area on the upper floors. In addition to this I find it unacceptable that Blue Badge Holders are charged to park their cars in the Car Parks.

Not as many shops as there used to be, good if you want a cafe, or a pound shop, there's lots of these. Other than that I'd prefer to go lakeside.

Having lived in the area all my life it has been sad to see it go so downhill. They are planning a big revamp but at the moment Basildon town centre is full of pound shops and vacant buildings. The Shopping centre itself is pretty standard with the usual shops. The upper level has a food court with a variety... More

Nothing outstanding. The only mall in Basildon that's good for nearby residents. Basildon town centre is literally dead after the mall closes.

On the plus side, parking is cheap and plentiful, and a handful of decent shops are present, Debenhams, Next, Super Dry, for example. The problem is that the place is stuck with 1960`s design and architecture surrounding it, in other words, a good idea at the time, but alas, it is now nothing more than a concrete jungle of dated... I went to meet up a relative at this shopping centre as she lives around there. I was disappointed that there were no concessions for disabled parking. The shopping centre itself is just like many other town shopping centres. Seemed to have all the chain stores and shops. We had lunch at Nandos, but I did find the food court... More

The Eastgate centre is a typical suburban new town shopping centre. It has all of the usual high street chains under one big roof where it's warm and dry. The shops are not necessarily cheap but it's convenient. We use this centre a lot. The centre has a variety of places to eat including the usual big names and some... More
