A family trip to trek here. Friendly helpful staff from booking to the actual trek. We went for 2 hours with our daughter. We all loved it. the scenery was amazing. It was a challenging trek in places but the horses have done it many times and you just do what the guides advise. The highest village in England so... More

We did a 2 hour ride and were blown away by the experience. My wife and I are both inexperienced riders but were made to feel safe and at ease. It was much better than your usual run of the mill holiday rides. The scenery was spectacular and our horses Pepper and Jimmy were fantastic, as was our guide Jess.... More

Thanks for the feed back and so pleased you enjoyed your ride - the weather gods were definitely smiling for you as we don't have the best climate here during the winter months! I will pass your comments on to Jess and of course Pepper and Jimmy! More

My partner and I recently decided to spend a couple of hours riding in order to gain confidence with cantering. I had emailed the place and explained this, I was told groups would be 3/4 riders and people on our level, there were 9 of us in total including two that had never been on a horse, so two instructors... Lovely friendly staff ensured the horses were well-suited to each rider. Group with a mixed range of abilities but as they had several staff riding out with them they were able to separate on the way back to allow more experienced riders to canter across the meadow.

I have previously ridden at many trekking centres over the years, and been very disappointed at the quality of the horses and the delivery of the riding. Northfield Farm (NF) was genuinely wonderful, and a credit to the owners and guides. I wanted an advanced ride to suit me (45) and my daughter (10). We are both experienced riders. NF... More

Thank you for the great review and as always we are pleased that you both enjoyed your ride, despite the usual summer weather. It's brilliant to have younger riders that are so capable and the ponies do enjoy being able to have a good run! I will pass your comments on to Jess and Jehanne, a lovely French student on... More

Booked the 2 hour trek for my wife as a birthday present as she rides but I've never ridden before. The staff are brilliant very patient and put me at ease as I was a little nervous. They are a credit to the farm. The ride takes in some lovely scenery and I can't recommend this place enough. I see... More

Having never rode a horse myself previously this place is fantastic! I was quite nervous looking at the size of the horse that I was given but once on the horse she was very calm with me. I found out later that I'd been given that particular horse because she was brilliant with first time riders. The instructors were very... More

As an experienced but rusty 70 year old rider who hadn't ridden for several years I was slightly anxious about getting on a horse again. I needn't have worried as Tonto was solid and sensible but forward going. He gave me the thrill of a good long canter and I felt carefree and 18 again! The two hour ride covers... More

We were originally booked in for Tuesday but Liz asked us to swap to Monday which we did and the staff came into work specially for us which was very kind. My daughter's last riding experience did not end well so this was a confidence building session and I had not ridden for over 35 years. Our hourly trek was... More

As a family of 5 novices I wondered how we would handle a 2 hour Horse Trek along the Three Shires Head. The Leaders were fabulous and told us instructions as we went. We were all given great steeds who made it a joy for us all. I have to say, being a novice, 2 hours MAY have been a... More
