Poole’s Cavern is the most spectacular natural cavern in the Peak District. Wonder at the amazing crystal formations which adorn the vast illuminated chambers on a one hour guided tour. Discover the home of the cave dwellers and learn about their lives in our new exhibition centre. Enjoy a tasty meal in the Cavern Café and explore the fossil and gemstone shop. Stroll through Buxton country park woodlands to the panoramic viewpoint of Solomon’s Temple.

Yes, it's a cave. It's underground and full of the usual formations you find in a cave. I've visited many caves and can confirm this is a cave too. However. The guide ( Ashley ?) was informative, funny and entranced the kids 4,12 & 13....More

Poole's Cavern is fantastic, particularly for people who enjoy caves but don't like tight spaces. Everything is nice and open and it doesn't feel claustrophobic. The different chambers are all spectacular too. The best thing was definitely the guide who took us around the cavern...More

Guides are good, spend a good 45 minutes inside the Caverns. Same old jokes and stories, but that's part of the fun. Lighting is all LED now, adds a interesting effect over the old lighting. Really recommend a visit here.
