It seems quite curious to me that Buxton put up such a large monument for a church warden. It makes me curious about the way things worked at the time. It seems an oddity that gives an insight into history.

In early December 2017 we went past. A very old fountain it is. Sadly a sign said the water is not fit for human consumption. Of course we didn`t drink it.
