We visited St Pierre as a society of 16 golfers last week and were very surprised to see how much the entire venue has deteriorated since our last visit about 4 years ago. As a business Marriotts have got it spot on.Entice people in with good deals and then fleece them with cost of food and drinks. £7.50 for coffee... More

We played late afternoon, so it was very quiet. The course was in very good condition, and is a fair test for both low and high handicappers. Had a pleasant lunch.

We enjoyed an excellent buffet Sunday lunch here on 30th Jan. Food was very good. Nice range of starters or hot soup. quality carvery - choice of 2 meats or chicken in a sauce, veg and gravy. Lush desserts and cheese board. They do not have a buffet every week so it is recommended to check when booking. The whole ambience... More

Just back from a great long golf weekend, Friday to Sunday, DBB. First visit for our party of 24 to St Pierre. Feedback from all who attended, great venue, Old Course excellent, Mathern a little rough in places and could do with being better maintained and also better signage between holes. Food in restaurant very good although would have thought... More

I go to St Pierre several times a week, as a local using the leisure facillities (pool, gym, exercise classes). The facilities are very good and classes excellent. I've never stayed at the hotel, but have wandered through it and had meals at the restaurants. The hotel, at least the very old part, is absolutely stunning. There is a lovely... More

I visited the Zest restaurant for lunch yesterday. It was the second time in a month, the first was average but decided to give it a second try. The service was poor, no one came to tend to us and when we asked if our order could be taken, the blonde gentleman clearly thought it was too much trouble and... More

I had a session at the spa with my sister which we both were looking forward to. I was not impressed with the waiting area or beverages that were available (not). The brown towelling robes were in a terrible state, lots of pulls and nothing like you'd expect at St Pierre Marriott hotel! The girl that did my treatment, which... More

We booked a last minute stay at this Marriott hotel as my husband was feeling unwell on our journey home from Wales. My immediate thought on the hotel was that it was tatty and needed some renovation. We were shown to our room across a courtyard, through an old 1970's style door and upstairs into a freezing cold dingy bedroom.... More

I firstly must say the serving staff were excellent & very attentive to all our needs. I must though give some constructive criticism to the kitchen side of the afternoon tea function I was attending. Having been in the catering business myself, for a "Ladies afternoon tea" the sandwiches were not dainty & not served very elegantly. I was horrified... More
