Always a welcome sight in the distance on our travels, knowing Wales is just across the bridge. Looking a bit tired now especially the road deck which looks more like a patch work quilt! Still great views out to the second severn crossing or up...More

A good view of the Severn Bridge from a safe and different perspective cam be gained at the viewing area. This is easy to walk or cycle to as well as driving to. There are good footpaths and cycle routes and a crossing over the...More

I remember when the bridge was inaugurated, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. That is more than 50 years ago and it is still an incredible work ok engineering. I think the toll is way too high and hope this changes in...More

The government has been charging a high toll to cross this bridge for decades. Fortunately the toll is being abolished on 31st January 2018 and it can't happen soon enough!

Walked from the Welsh side to the English side and back. Fantastic views both up and down the river. A little unnerving for the unwary is the way that the bridge bounces due to the traffic on the motorway. Probably not a good walk if...More

One of the great Bridges of Britain. Linking England with Wales. Takes what seems like a good five minutes just to cross the bridge, its so big! And good news, they've reduced the toll money to cross it the bridge too, and about time.
