Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve covers 98 hectares near Dunkeld. From early April to late August, the star attraction is a pair of breeding ospreys, which nest just 150 metres from our observation hide. Interactive displays help bring the story of Loch of the Lowes to life. Get closer to the ospreys with binoculars, telescopes and live video footage. Spot red squirrels, woodpeckers and other woodland birds from viewing windows. Our gift shop offers a range of wildlife-related gifts and souvenirs. Hot and cold drinks and light refreshments are available.

An out-of-the-way centre for bird-lovers, but shouldn't be missed. Lovely views of the osprey and chicks from the hides, and great views of the visiting birds from the centre's windows overlooking the feeders. Lovely to see a feisty mandarin duck, and the red squirrel who...More

This is a very well-done nature center, worth a visit for the osprey cam and much more. We were lucky and got to see the chicks being fed.

We popped in on the way home. Lovely wee stop over to watch the Ospreys. Also a large amount of other birds nesting and feeding on site.

Seeing the Osprey was fantastic - highly recommended. A very small national park but the set up is good and the place is friendly. Good for primary school aged kids.
