Thanks to much needed work this park is returning to one of the best in Huddersfield. It is a park for 'everyone' with areas for children, walks with various settings, features such as lake, gardens, bandstand, war memorial and two cafes, catering for various tastes, although the Conservatory is my favourite. It hosts many events throughout the year and still... More

Lovely green space lots of things going on, pond to see bird life, walking, children's playground and park run every Saturday morning join in and get fit. Perfect in the summer for picnic's and also a café if you don't want to make sandwiches and dodge the wasps.

It never ceases to amaze me how well endowed we are with our parks. Can you imagine someone coming to the council chamber saying 'I've got a great idea- why don't we build a brilliant park with lakes and fountains and a conservatory for tropical plants and two cafes and a bowling green and tennis courts and children's outdoor play... This lovely park has been a favourite of mine since childhood. It's a delight to walk through both for young and old.

Whilst the venue is good the prices are expensive and service can be very slow when busy. Meals ok but would only go for tea or coffee

The park is well kept and clean with open spaces and quirky corners, there are activities for kids and grown ups - As I live quite close, I visit quite often, sometimes by myself just for a walk, exercise and fresh air, and sometimes with family and friends. There are also a couple of cafes and lovely walks which you... More
