I often arrive by train and seeing this statue always makes me happy. I'm not sure Harold would be happy that the powers that be took away his pipe, but he still looks quite jaunty

When the sun is out, this is a great place to sit for lunch and watch the world go by. (Not as good when it's raining!)

Not overwhelming but an interesting memory of days gone by. He did deserve some sort of tribute and it should have been in Huddersfield

Great bit of bronze sculpture but the subject matter is rubbish. An embarrassment to Huddersfield in my opinion. Surprised it hasn't been stolen and melted down by now. We can hope.
