My family and I have visited Wrest Park many times over the years and, as indicated in other reviews on here, I agree: great efforts have been made to improve the grounds and the house as well as activities for the whole family to partake in. The grounds are beautiful all year around - it is always a delight to... More

The gardens here are a beautiful place to spend a few hours, walking, picnicking alone or with friends. English Heritage have done a fabulous job of restoring this place for the enjoyment of others. The only small disappointment is the tea shop at the end...slow service, poor choice of food and high prices.

English Heritage opened Wrest Park to visitors in 2006 I think since then there have been several improvements to the house and gardens it's good for walks in the grounds. Disappointments are the need for more toilets and the restaurant is poorly stocked and untidy, why do people think it's ok to leave rubbish all over the tables and floor... More

We went here for a family walk with kids on scooters and there are a good variety of paths stretching for a few miles round the estate. Not too muddy either if you keep out of the woods and off the grass. Pleasant views from and within the estate, tired the kids out a treat! Tea shop also provided welcome... More

This is the place to walk and reflect...such a lovely house, it's the seat of the Earl Grey. If you are a member of English Heritage, it's free to get in. The grounds are great all year round, especially spring when all the buds and flowers are just sprouting. Also it's great in the summer for picnics and just soaking... More

Great big house to explore with bags of history, but what does it for my family is the gardens and the events they put on periodically. Gardens are immaculate with loads of places to play for the kids especially the folly, although that's being renovated at the moment (Oct 2016). St Georges day is a good one, and every Sunday...
