This is an English Heritage property where you can visit the grounds as the house is usually out of bounds. The park is large with a few monuments (e.g. orangery, summerhouse) to visit on the way as well as a made up canal. There is also a cafe and shop. Nice day out all year around !

Visited today in December and still found it a lovely place to visit.Free to English Heritage members its truly a tranquil place, and the staff and volunteers are friendly ,helpful, and knowledgeable. I liked the house which has some beautiful architecture all covered in Gold leaf, along with a good information at the entrance into the family history. They are in... More

Saturday 26 November 16, My husband and I made our first visit to Wrest Park and was very impressed with this opulent mansion with its lovely gardens, beautiful even on a cold and bright November day. Wrest Park offers miles of waterside and woodland strolls. Telling the story of an English love affair with landscape. Wrest Parks lovely gardens were... More

My second visit took place during the school holidays when I took some children. It was Halloween but we weren't interested in that, just in exploring what nature had on offer. The autumn colours were stunning and the children had so much fun collecting leaves to press and in playing in the woodland. We had taken a couple of the... More

Freecparking and you can take children to play in play area and use toilets & cafe without buying tickets for entry. Massive house but Only one room fully furnished, rest of ground floor is either partly interactive displays on the history of the house & gardens or beautiful ceilings & books/wall decorations. It would have been nice to go upstairs... More

We've visited the play park and walked through Wrest park many times but thanks to Tesco Vouchers we joined English Heritage and went in the house and gardens for free. The information at the start of the house is very interesting and the parts of the house you can see are gorgeous. Would love to be able to see more... More

Went here hoping to see round a stately home and gardens but there was very little to see in the house. The park was very interesting and we had a tour round it in a golf cart with a very knowledgeable gardener. As it was half-term the place was very busy and the café was extremely noisy and messy. All... More
