Donkeys are kept so well with lovely large pens and gorgeous views over the sea! Love all the information dotted around the place and the gift shop is also lovely. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do! We have an adopted donkey (Zena) and will support you for many years to come. Well worth a visit but please... More

If you love donkeys as I do then this will not disappoint! Well cared for donkeys of all ages and sizes beautifully looked after. You can get close to them and wander around their paddocks and stables. Support a very worthy cause.

I visited with a three year old on a cold and very wet January morning. The volunteer lady showed us where to find donkeys to stroke and then we went to the cafe for coffee and delicious cake. We were made to feel very welcome, so we stayed to see more donkeys, and visited the tasteful shop. Back to the... More

We previously visited The Donkey Sanctuary back in the summer to see Millie, Ruby and Gareth as my daughter and 2 sons adopted them. Well since then we have adopted Cocoa as a present to my husband as he wanted to adopt a donkey. We love the Donkey Sanctuary, especially my children as they love stroking and talking to the... We adopted two donkeys as Christmas presents and drove to the sanctuary to see them. There are some construction works taking place in and around the site of the car park but we found a parking space easily. It was a cold day, so we wrapped up because we knew we woud be outside. There are several walks around the... More

I have donated to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary for years and decided it was time to visit the Sanctuary and see all the lovely donkeys for myself. What a wonderful set-up. Well cared for, happy, healthy donkeys of all colours and sizes. Donkeys who have been ill treated and abandoned now safe and healthy. And I heard a donkey bray... More

I have been here several times and it's always lovely! The donkeys are so sweet and the site is easy to get around with a nice cafe and gift shop. They do some great work here and if you want to bring your dog they are very welcome too. In nice weather there are lovely walks around the site including... More

My stepdad and I both adopted donkeys for Christmas and decided to visit. There are so many donkeys there, all very friendly. You can take dogs with you too which is nice. There are several walks to take. The food at the onsite restaurant is basic home comforts but good quality. The staff are all very knowledgable and will answer... More
