Lovely place to walk around Loch Muick and visit Queen Victorias house, extremely lovely surroundings in the Cairngorms National Park.

We frequently visit Loch Muick for its beauty and tranquility. The views are magnificent and the walks breathtaking. If you are lucky you will see the herd of wandering from hillside to loch for a drink. For the more energetic, the trip up Lochnagar is...More

It is well worth visiting. The car park is accessed on a long single track road with passing places. The car park makes a charge of £4 which seems excessive but there is a visitor centre and a modern toilet block adjacent to the car...More

My husband and I did the hike around the Loch Muick. It was not very strenuous, but was very long. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, so I would definitely recommend. There is a pay-to-park lot and also bathroom facilities at the beginning of the trail.

I've been back and forth to Loch Muick over the past 20 years or so. Worth a visit every time for the scenery, deer, grouse and red squirrels Beautiful!

We went here with my mother-in-law who cannot walk too long distances anymore. The flies were bothersome (it was that time of the year) but the Loch itself and the view was worth it. We went a shorter round and just passed by the Loch...More

Easy to see how it was in the 12th century - little signs of civilization - perfect for hiking around the lake
