Firstly, down forget about soup if you are having a starter - it really is delicious! For the mains, there's an over reliance on chips - thick chunky ones - though some very interesting menu choices. Service is excellent.

The style of the restaurant and the choice of beer and cocktails is lovely. The food though is just ok.....novelty over taste and quality. The nachos are fantastic...which is why I would recommend for somewhere to go for a few bites before a night out...More

Great place to enjoy a drink or two. We sometimes head to the shabby scholar for a few drinks and have always had a great time, great staff and great cocktail, you won't be disappointed.

If you want great service .. Fantastic freshly made cocktails, great atmosphere.. This is the place .. Only downside but this maybe the reason it's so good it's on the small size but it's bigger for it .
