This is an excellent venue for a good walk, with or without the dog, and the children. Lovely views across the yarn and plenty of rest places if you need them. After the walk you can eat or just get a drink in the cafe....More

It's always great fun to go on a stroll around the farm on a warm day. Once you go around the farm, there is a nice little cafe where you can get teas and coffees. Also, you can get ice cream there.

Good car park, cafe and walks. Not far from Carlisle. Boating for hire in the season. Lovely lake to walk around possibly all right for a wheelchair user

If your are passing through Brampton, make sure you divert to talking tarn. A beautiful little walk and a nice tea room to finish off. Highly recommended for water activities or just a leisurely stroll.

There are shore areas around the lakesides and you could paddle but due to algae and bird muck, I wouldn't advise it for children.

Owners do let dogs off lead but if your dog likes to explore there is lots of space and s/he would be able to wander off if s/he had a mind to.
